Well doesn’t this just beat all?

No, this is not an overly effusive follow-up to how I want to have an ongoing and torrid affair with The Blue Door Pub’s Cowboy Blucy, but it’s a little victory dance that there’s a club out there to enable my obsession with the cheese-filled burgers found at Selby and Fairview in Saint Paul.

There’s a free Blucy on the line.  And a nifty t-shirt.

I went there for lunch yesterday with Dan, who’d heard of this club, which prompted our inquiry.  Sure enough, there’s not only a club, but they’ve already gone through the first design of the t-shirt prize that goes to the victors who eat every single Blucy on The Blue Door Pub’s menu.  The Blucy Challenge.  Oh, twist my arm.

Game on.  Dan’s down one Merriam Park Blucy and I’m down one Cowboy (Bacon) Blucy.

I think I’ll branch out with the coconut milk-soaked mozzarella, pickeled toppings, and curry dunking sauce of the Bangkok Blucy next.
