Shifting Canoes

In the spirit of my humble beginnings, I took the following pictures last Wednesday, the day before the one-year anniversary of Shifting Piles.  It’s more literal than figurative, but–as usual–it features the Jeep and a little reframing.

The challenge: Get a newly purchased canoe from the sporting goods store in Golden Valley to my parents’ home in Cokato without a vehicle with a canoe carrier.

The solution: Carrying a canoe on top of the Jeep isn’t much different from carrying a Christmas tree.

Sometimes this gal just needs a little reminding that she’s pretty capable of shifting whatever she darn well pleases.
